The family’s neat spacesaving design is packed with an integrated smart card and magnetic card reader. To further extend customer payment convenience, you have the option to add a contactless reader which is seamlessly incorporated with the terminal itself. Security

The Ingenico i6500 terminal series is PCI PED certified and Triple DES capable, with the added benefit of DUKPT and Master Session key management, to deliver security-as-standard for consumer and merchant alike. A 32-bit RISC crypto-processor provides a uniquely scaleable and high-performance platform to support a host of new generation security applications, with no impact on transaction speed or reliability.

Design/Ergonomics

The i6550 offers a monochrome glareresistant graphical screen with electrostatic finger touch and electronic pen for signature capture, while the i6580 TFT LCD color display makes it easy to deliver customer-directed advertising at the point-of-sale. Both models include a tactile keypad, complete with brightly colored keys and raised symbols to enhance ease of use for visually impaired customers.

Communication

These terminals give you a wealth of connectivity choice to enable communication with any host device, network or LAN environment. Standard host communication protocols include RS232, RS485, USB and Ethernet.
